GED

The General Education Development Test (GED) is administered to individuals who have not received their high school diploma and need an equivalency test. It is divided into five sections, each timed separately. The state of Utah will not give the GED to anyone under the age of 17. You will need to check your state for minimum age requirements.

Testing requirements
If you are 18 or older and your high school class has graduated, call and set up an appointment.

If you are 17 or 18 and your high school class has not graduated, you are required to produce 2 letters before testing.

1. A letter on letterhead from the district of residency, stating that you are no longer enrolled in high school.
2. A parent/guardian permission slip.

General Information
Check local schools and libraries for GED testing availability.
